Crafts

Here is where you will find Craft ideas.

From Debbie Fligor, Tallgrass Circle:

We try and do crafts at nearly all our "regular" meetings.  Here's some things we've done that the kids enjoyed:

  • Make rolled Bees-wax candles.  A fun way to make candles that you don't need to melt wax for. I got a kit from the Magic Cabin catalog, but some hobby stores have them too. after rolling the main candle you can cut shapes out of contrasting colors of wax and press them onto the candle.
  • Decorate white bandanas with fabric markers to make re-usable napkins/table cover for snacks.
  • Cut out animal pictures from old magazines and calendars, then glue them on construction paper or cardboard.  Put them in a paper bag to have an animal charades game. We often grab this for a spark-starter when we don't have any other ideas, the bag of animals can always use new items.
